On november the 9th Glasgow won the right to host the 2014 commonwealth games after a tight decision and pipping Nigeria to win the event. It is a brillant achievment to be given the right to host such an event and should increase the reputation of Scotland as a great country even mory throughout the world. Winning an event will do wonders for scottish athletics and should inspire and encourage children to want to do more sports and one day dream of even winning a gold medal in a athletics. This result came from years of hard work to prepare for the bid involving many people from the council of Glasgow to even support from our own athletes and eveyone should be congratulated on a fantastic outcome. Roll on 2014 so the world can see for themselves what a truly wonderful place Scotland is and how we should be consider to host more events than the so-called bigger countries cause we are a rising nation.
